Or engineer. Or whoever mans the NYC subways. He gets a little overzealous in reminding people that there 'is more than one door on this train' or 'you can get fined for holding train doors' or 'you can and will get arrested by a ny police officer if you try to hold the door with spare body parts or your head'. SPARE BODY PARTS?! Oh yeah. Officer. Arrest me because I was holding the train door with this spare foot that was just lying around. Yeah! Look! Spare body parts in a pile right there on the platform.

I miss the days when I could come up with off-the-wall titles. One of my
favorites was 'Ari Bobble-head of the Spinach Leaf' - that was about 2001. I
think the post was about my friend, Ari, and a dinner discussion about
spinach salad over regular romaine. The bobble-head is possibly a remnant of
a long-dead inside joke.
Boring title aside... My goal of 'Examination' is to post something I like
every day. At least one thing. Maybe it will inspire me to be a better
blogger. Might not make me thinner or less mean - but I can know with some
certainty, that maybe I will be a better blogger.
I take the LIRR to work every morning, and conversely, I take it home every
night. I feel that there is a certain peace of mind that comes with taking a
rapidly moving steel box a great distance twice daily. I can even experience
traveling backwards without getting motion sickness! (as well as compose
this entry on my Treo) Mostly, I sleep. Today, I wanted to post (is this the
sign of an addict?).
What makes a train ride so much better, is my boyfriend, who shares the
train portion of the commute with me. He was the one who first expressed his
contentment with hand holding, saying it gave him a sense of security. I'd
like to broaden that sense to security, comfort, and a sense of belonging.
All derived from the simple act of touching, or the pure essence of being
able to infuse all of one's senses with their significant other.
It makes me happy in the mornings (and in the evenings).
Now... back to that nap I alluded to earlier. :-)
Here's an obvious one. I love blogging. I love self-publishing. This is my outlet, creative, intellectual, entertainment... this quite possibly replaces my livejournal. Seeing as Vox and LJ are created by the same company, it's a self-evolution of sorts.
I wonder how long I can keep this one up. I'm one of the first Vox users -- if you can really call me a 'user'. I'm more in tune (I'd like to believe) with the social media space than I was when I first signed up for this. I strive to be more of a user now, than I was previously.
My wordpress has been up for over a year now. I've tinkered with other platforms -- all with limited success.
I like this new Vox UI.
I really need to stop beginning every blog with an introductory post on my blogging history. It's getting really annoying. Even if Rohit says I should have a social media bio. It just doesn't work for me. At all.
